“The State Emergency Management Agency and Greene County Emergency Management had precontracted with several sites, but many were without power. Of the several precontracted sites, only Schweitzer United Methodist had power. Working with the Red Cross, additional church-based shelters were opened at St. John's Chapel United Church of Christ, Campbell United Methodist, Covenant Presbyterian, Pathways United Methodist, National Avenue Christian and Ridgeway Baptist Church. Sensing the need, Praise Assembly of God responded as well.”
