“In 1968, the Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ lost its six beautiful stained glass windows.”

“In 1969, the current church building was completed at 431 W. Melgaard Road - minus the beautiful windows.

“That's where parishioner Anne Larson came in. Larson began what proved to be a long campaign of letters and phone calls to try to get the windows returned. She was successful, to a point. Three of the windows were returned and installed in the new church. The other one was sent to the Smithsonian.”
